Welcome to Tracey's Art Stuff, where we specialize in creating unique and eclectic pieces of art. Our business has been in operation for a few years, and we take pride in the quality of our workmanship and attention to detail.
We offer a wide range of art pieces, including handmade jewelry, pottery, shell and ocean art, candles, vintage jewelry, and unique jewelry. Our jewelry pieces are carefully crafted to showcase the natural beauty of the materials we use. From bold statement pieces to delicate and intricate designs, our jewelry is truly one-of-a-kind.
My dad made jewelry for me when I was young. He tumbled rocks in our basement, the sound of which I loved hearing; it was as if we had our own little stream inside our house. He made necklaces, earrings, key chains. Then, when I went to grad school in Marine Biology, I brought home some pieces of black coral. The next Christmas I received a necklace with drilled black coral slices and liquid silver. I fell in love. I wore it non-stop for two years. He had one of those little cabinets with tiny drawers storing all his findings…(now I have that one and a few ;) more!!!)
I feel naked if I don’t wear earrings. I feel wonderful when I match my jewelry to my outfits. I have sold many a necklace off my neck. Some I like so much that I come home and try to match the pattern that night. My mother is, of course, the recipient of lots of my jewelry and pottery. She is also one of my best fans my hero. She taught me so much and I inherited her crafty side.
I am a Finance Manager, an MBA, a marine biologist, and a mother but in my heart of hearts, I am an artist. So many possibilities, so much to accomplish, so much to share.
A young man from our neighborhood (a friend of one of my sons’) came over the other night with clay. He wanted to share with me his passion for ceramics after having attended his first class. He grew up down the street, watching me create. Here he was creating …. I loved that… I loved that.
When visiting a friend’s daughter the other day, we heard a song by Enya. She said “Enya is you potting, you creating neat stuff in your garage.” Touch someone and you will be fulfilled. I can only hope I can make you smile when you wear my jewelry, when you use my pottery, when you eat off my dishes, when you look at my art. Smiles are one of the best forms of love. Love is what we are here for.
